Lindsay is a qualified Sport and Exercise scientist, graduating from The University of Birmingham ’10, focusing her studies on sports nutrition Lindsay then went on to work as a Dietetic Assistant at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. Sparking an interest in the study of Nutrition and Dietetics, Lindsay then went on to complete a 4 year BSc course at the University of Chester. Lindsay now works clinically as a UK registered Dietitian.
Alongside her studies, Lindsay is passionate about fitness. Starting young she was a competitive swimmer since the age of 7, competing at national level for Butterfly. Challenging herself by transforming her body in 8 short months, Lindsay went from never lifting weights to stepping on stage at UKBFF Birmingham qualifier (body fitness) Sept 2014, winning an invitation to British Finals Oct 2014. Now, Lindsay is currently work to achieve a new fitness goal… Crossfit.
One of Lindsay’s main goals is to try and break the stereotype around females and weight training, by inspiring females to take part in physical activity.
Lindsay enjoys baking and creates fresh initiative new recipes focusing on health and wellbeing. Transforming guilty food/ treats into healthy alternatives for all to enjoy in moderation. Lindsay’s passion for fitness, nutrition, health and science lead to the creation of leanbeannutrition, formerly a blog. LeanBeanNutrition blog (previously on blogger) has been nominated for two blog awards; Cosmopolitan Blog Awards for best food blog (2014) & The UK National Blog Awards for Young Person Recognition (2015).
