👩🏻So many times in clinic, I hear my patients say they don’t cook because what’s the point in cooking for one.
👨👩👧👦It’s fun to cook for friends and family, so invite them over and make meals a social experience.
For other days
Make big batches of meals (like this roast dinner) and use the leftovers for a meal@another day or use as lunch box food.
🍝Find new recipes that are quick and easy to prepare.
📻Eating alone doesn’t have to be a lonely experience, turn the radio on, play your favourite music, watch TV.
🏖If weather permits, pack your meal up and head to the park, beach or woodland for an alfresco dinning experience
💰Cooking from fresh at home is cheaper than eating out.
🎨Use cooking as a creative outlet, don’t be scared to try new flavours, textures and foods.
❌Cooking from fresh natural ingredients means you are aware of what foods go into your meals.
Ditch the “why brother” syndrome and make yourself the priority. Treat yourself to a delicious well balanced meal.
