Ginger & Chia Oats


Zoats…  the new slang word.  Its a delicious combination of courgette and oats. A sneaky way to help you on your way to your five-a-day. Zoats are a great way to increase the volume of your breakfast, if a bowl of plain porridge doesn’t quite leave you feeling fuller for longer.

A wonderfully simple recipe. The oats, chia seeds and grated courgette are soaked in yoghurt and almond milk, which means that the oats become wonderfully soft and the chia seeds expand to create a wonderful mix of textures. Add a mixture of ginger, vanilla and goji berries to it in the morning to add an extra zing to its flavour.


1/2 courgette (grated)

40g rolled oats

1 tsp grated ginger

100ml greek yohurt

200ml almond milk

1 tbsp. chia seeds

goji berries to decorate
