Not Mush Beet Burgers
Mushroom and beetroot burgers, intensely earthy
300g pre cooked beetroot
1 small red onion
1 garlic clove
handful of spinach
50g ground quinoa (Quinoa Flour)
1 tsp worcester sauce
2 tsp paprika
- In a frying pan sauce the garlic, finely diced onion and mushrooms until cooked and softened.
- In a large bowl blend the beetroot, mix in 1 egg and season with pepper, paprika and worcester sauce
- add the cooled mushroom mix and combine
- add polenta and quinoa and set aside in the fridge for 30 mins
- using a burger press form 4 burgers
- in a pre-heated oven (200C) cook for 20 mins (Sprinkle the baking tray with polenta to help prevent the burgers from sticking.
