Protein Oreos


A Healthy Take on an American Favourite


Cookies (dry)

100g spelt flour

25g Raw Cacao 

25g protein powder

1/4 tsp baking powder

Cookies (wet)

50g coconut oil

50g honey

60g almond milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

Oreo middle

100g cashews soaked and drained

25g vanilla ice cream whey protein

10g honey

Vanilla extract


  1. Preheat your oven to 160C
  2. In a large bowl sift together the dry ingredients
  3. In another bowl mix together the wet ingredients
  4. Combine the dry with the wet
  5. Place in the fridge for 30 mins
  6. Place the dough mix between two pieces of baking parchment and roll out. Using a small cookie cutter cut out 20 circles
  7. Bake for 10 minutes
  8. Leave to cool
  9. For the gooey middle; in a bowl leave cashew nuts to soak I. Water overnight to soften
  10. Add the remaining ingredients and blend
  11. Fill your sandwiches
