Comforting Beef Stew

Theres nothing more comforting than a big bowl of beef stew, were the meat simple falls apart. 


700g stewing beef
3 carrots (diced) 
2 onions (red) 
2 garlic cloves
1 can chopped tomatoes
1 cup frozen peas
1 green chilli
1 small glass red wine (125ml) 
1 beef stock cube (dissolved in warm water)
1 tbsp paprika
1 tsp caraway seeds
salt and pepper to season

(optional - try adding sweet potato ) 


1. In a frying pan, add a tsp of oil and cook the garlic, onion and chilli. Add the stewing beef and allow to brown. 

2. place all the ingredients into a slow cook and cook on a slow heat for 5-8 hours. 

Enjoy with rice, sweet potato, quinoa or even use the stew to fill a wrap or pitta bread
